The Yukika Tarot Deck – Watercolor RWS Tarot, Healing Indie Tarot, Holographic Edges

🩷🔮 The Yukika Tarot — A Tarot for the Heart In-Between

Some tarot decks arrive when we are searching for answers. The Yukika Tarot arrives when we are not even sure what the question is yet.

Created for those strange spaces between what was and what comes next, this is a deck for imperfect days — for uncertainty, healing, exhaustion, rediscovery, and the quiet work of finding your way back to yourself.

The Yukika Tarot is an 80-card contemporary tarot deck that reimagines the traditional 78-card Rider Waite Smith (RWS) structure through original ink and watercolor artwork, accompanied by two special cards, Wild and Wonder. Playful, unconventional, raw, and tender, it explores imperfection, uncertainty, healing, and the many in-between moments that shape our lives.

The Yukika Tarot: A Magic Machine for the In-Between is an 80-card tarot deck built upon the familiar structure of the Rider Waite Smith (RWS) tradition and reimagined through original ink and watercolor paintings created between 2023 and 2025.

Each card carries the unmistakable presence of handmade art — spontaneous lines, vibrant washes of color, small irregularities, and expressive details that give every image its own personality. Alongside the traditional 78-card structure are two special cards, Wild and Wonder, created to open additional perspectives and possibilities within a reading.
Yukika is not a deck that tries to make every part of life beautiful, polished, or easily resolved.

Instead, it makes room for those periods when we simply do not know.
The days when we feel exhausted or burned out. The moments when an old version of ourselves no longer fits, yet whatever comes next has not fully taken shape. The strange territory between leaving and arriving, breaking apart and healing, losing certainty and slowly learning to trust ourselves again.

Beneath its playful, quirky, and sometimes wonderfully strange imagery is a remarkably tender emotional world. Several cards reinterpret names, perspectives, and familiar ideas from the RWS tradition to create more space for different human experiences — including vulnerability, anxiety, feeling like an outsider, carrying multiple sides of oneself, healing, and finding a way home to who we are.

All 80 illustrations were originally created in ink and watercolor. The visible brushwork, shifting weight of the lines, uneven washes, and little traces of the artist’s hand are not polished away. Instead, they become part of the deck’s visual language.
Turning through Yukika can feel a little like opening someone’s private illustrated journal: colorful and curious on one page, vulnerable on the next, occasionally strange, sometimes funny, and unexpectedly intimate.

The physical edition adds another layer to this contrast. Pink–Blue holographic foil appears across the presentation of the deck, including shimmering details on the box, card backs, and holographic card edges. Against the organic character of ink and watercolor, these flashes of shifting color give Yukika a contemporary, almost otherworldly presence.

A substantial 100-page guidebook is included, offering further exploration of the cards, their meanings, and the ideas behind this unusual tarot world.
The Yukika Tarot does not need to be the voice that tells you everything will immediately be okay.

Perhaps it can simply sit beside you while things are still unfinished.
It invites you to notice what is happening, listen to what is moving beneath the surface, and slowly rediscover a safe space within yourself — without demanding that you always be certain, healed, productive, or strong.

For tarot readers and collectors drawn to contemporary decks, original hand-painted artwork, unconventional RWS interpretations, and emotionally expressive tarot, Yukika is a wonderfully unusual companion for the beautiful, messy space in between.
